We currently seek an iPhone application architect/project manager to work part-time on iPhone projects as they come in. We had several iPhone development projects this summer, there are 2 current projects, and we expect a significant upswing in iPhone and Mobile phone programming demand over the course of this year.
My company provides on-demand application programming and web design/development consulting services. With a 13 year history and experience in over 3000 projects, our 200+ developers have provided services to businesses and organizations of all types and sizes: from Fortune 500 corporations to single entrepreneur start-ups, and everything in between.
Your Role:
- You will go on conference calls with potential iPhone application clients and lead the technical requirements gathering discussions (a business development person will also participate in the call to lead the business discussion).
- You will "architect" the overall iPhone application and define the iPhone development plan. The plan does not need to be a long document, the architecture need not be elaborate, however both should have a logical work flow and make sense technically.
- You will assist in remotely managing an experienced offshore iPhone development team made up mostly of senior developers. You will only be responsible for managing the development deliverables as you have defined them in the project plan.
Specific Requirements:
- Any ethnicity or nationality is fine, but you must have excellent english pronunciation. A strong accent will absolutely not work because direct verbal communication with native english speaking US-based clients is critical. (i.e., the Clients need to understand you very clearly or they will have no interest in working with us.)
- Strong iPhone and mobile phone application architecture and development experience.
- Good project management experience.
The successful candidate will start out as a key member of the Mobile Phone Application Development practice with the opportunity to grow into a critical leadership position in the organization. US-based hourly rates for development and project management will apply.
